Grace Lutheran Church operates today through the common understanding that there be appointed members responsible for leading the congregation through a church council of elected officers. These appointed members voluntarily serve and manage all orders of business for the congregation including the calling or dismissing of Pastors, planning of year-round church service and programs, encouraging Gospel-motivated blessings, foster support for mission and charities, administer the congregation’s welfare fund, prepare and submit budget recommendations, and much more.
The elected board members of Grace Lutheran Church are:
Greg has been a member at Grace for 15 years. He married Danielle Durgin (nee Bradley) in 2011 and has three daughters, Gracie, Jane, and Isla. Greg is an engineering professor at Georgia Tech, where he is also a faculty adviser for the student Christian group, the GT Navigators. Past hobbies include SCUBA diving, oil painting, and home improvement.
Adam, his wife Joanna, and their two daughters joined Grace Lutheran in 2015 after moving from Houston, Texas. He was formerly Vice President and is now serving Grace as President. Adam is an accountant at EY and in his free time enjoys cheering on his favorite sports teams (Go Notre Dame! Go San Antonio Spurs!), DIY home projects, and exercising.
